Concordia Cemetery El Paso

Frank and I went to a “Walk through History” at Concordia Cemetery.  This cemetery is called El Paso’s “Boot Hill” and dates back to the  1840s and has such famous inhabitants  as John Wesley Hardin, Buffalo Soldiers, Texas Rangers, Civil War Veterans, early Mormon pioneers,  Florida (Lady Flo) Wolf, Lawman John Selman.

This cemetery is unique that it has a Chinese section.  There is an infant section  as well.

There were stops with volunteers in period garb explaining different aspects of life in the old West from the Spanish Civil war, o Buffalos Soldiers  , Harvey Girls and a troupe doing skits .

I am embarrased to say I have been here 13 years and this was my first trip to Concordia.  I have spent to much time letting life pass me by
