From Pagosa Springs we had to drive up Wolf Creek Pass to the Continental Divide. It was a long nine mile slog with me in second gear most of the time. On the way we saw an old WWII airplane an Beechcraft AT-11 bombardier trainer.
Next stop was Alamosa where we got back off road for a run along the Rio Grande River. We went through a small community call Lasauses. There was a small church with a grave in front. It was very open country and it was easy to imagine the old days and the difficulty of surviving in such an environment. While on the trail we saw a small herd of wild horses.
The trail we were on was confusing and we had a couple of hairy moments ,like flipping my truck., but persevered. From there off to Santa Fe to meet with my brothers for dinner.
